Der Stellmacher (Sturz)

The wheelwright from Möslau, Max Zieger, a tall, strong man with a somewhat childlike disposition, does carpentry work and makes skis from simple wooden boards.
It is the end of the war and he finds an escaped Russian prisoner of war in the forest, whom he hides with him. Although the war is finally over, the turmoil of war is spreading everywhere, even in otherwise peaceful Saxony.
So many suffer and yet there is always a spark of good in the world.
