The text seems very authentic and the author has admirable epic skills!
Above all, this factual novel (?) takes up the cudgels for ordinary people, for the weak, the sick, the homeless and the down-and-out. That is probably the most praiseworthy aspect of this magnum opus and presumably also the author's intention.
