"If you don't want your friends to die, then stay away from the mirror."

Dark secrets and horrors await you behind the mirror. But as in every darkness, there are also rays of light. Tyranny and violence on the one hand, love and friendship on the other. And Isabel Parks is right in the middle of it all.

  1. Vanessa -

A really successful fantasy novel that immerses the reader in a mysterious world hidden behind the mirrors. Although this is only the first volume of this trilogy, it leaves nothing to be desired in terms of suspense and story. I'm already very excited and looking forward to the sequel(s)!

  2. Ina Schulz -

Henriette Settmacher is younger than her own protagonist. But you don't notice that in the book in the slightest. Henriette writes like a pro and has come up with a wonderful fantasy world. No vampires or werewolves for once. Here it's shadow creatures who are up to mischief in a parallel world behind the mirrors on behalf of a tyrannical queen. But this world is not just a medieval spectacle. It is very interesting when the protagonist immerses herself in a world that is so different on the one hand and then has very modern features on the other.

The characters are well developed. The story is coherent. You just want more!

Deadly Thorns is the first part of a trilogy. I'm very excited to see what happens in the subsequent novels.

  3. Sabine Finnern -

Henriette writes like no other - innocent and pure, at the same time captivating and captivating.
