Was ich nicht sagen konnte (Ascom)
€14,00
Marlis is the sixth child to grow up in simple, middle-class circumstances.
The parents are overwhelmed - Marlis quietly observes her surroundings and withdraws protectively into her inner self.
"I have never seen them laugh or cry from the bottom of their hearts, not even at a recent loss. I know from psychology that feelings that parents repress because they can't allow and live them for various reasons are passed on to their children."
Just when she thinks she has found her place in life, fate strikes hard and Marlis begins a race against life.

I read this book in almost one go and then read it again with many pauses for breath. What a colorful, rich life that wanted to be lived with all the highs, lows and abysses that ultimately led the author to the "bottom of the well". This whole story is wonderful, reading it leaves you breathless, wanting to find out more, wanting to continue with her on her journey. Everything reads so easily and pleasantly, her words are thoughtful and careful, her writing style fluid and seemingly effortless - everything falls into place and you feel: it was meant to be!

With this book, the author has created something special for her and our entire family. I hope that everyone will read it and reflect on it, because it would fill in the gaps. I wish I had the courage to confront my family with my assessments of our time together.
